Happy birthday, America!

This is my 3rd birthday post and my blog is only a month old!!

Okay, so this weekend was such a blast! Here's what happened:

Friday: Juan in a Million for breakfast with Caelie and Javi, Pier One with Dodo Bobby ("Everything is shaped like fruit and animals. What if you want an apple, but it's plastic?? These corn holders are shaped like corn! Look, a bird in a cage? Caw, caw, caw!"), Sports Day at Zilker with 85 diff options and approx 15 mins of actual sports played, pool time at John and Javi's fancy new pad, Carlos and Charlie's for dinner with Cougars and Cubs kickball (team pictured below), drinks, music, and fireworks, Jaimie passes out

Saturday: John Leahy's party barge on Lake Travis (9-12), Oasis for lunch, summer camp* with Bobby and John, Auditorium Shores for more fireworks, Kirby Lane for late night dindins, Jaimie passes out

Meet our heros, He-man and Superman

Sunday: B-fast at Stardust, UCC (University Catholic Center) drive by, Bobby, Jaimie, and John avoid trouble on South Congress by pig watching (pictured below), puppy petting, and Frida admiring (Tesoro's Trading Company), met up with Danielle for her 3rd Hangover viewing where we consumed an entire large bucket of popcorn. By we I mean me.

*summer camp reference: Bobby and John were being ridiculous and each required explicit instructions for snacking, showering, napping, healing wounds, waking from naps, dressing, exiting the house, traveling to fireworks; it was kind of hilarious. Bobby emerged with a plastic sword in his belt loop and John was wearing our blanket like a cape. See above photo.

Swirll me up, buttercup

Ah, yum.  Just took the last bite.  I was thirsty in downtown Austin after an afternoon of errand running, and so the natural inclination was to eat!  I blame it on Swirll, the delectable fro yo establishment on The Drag (Guadalupe St @ UT campus).  Holy Christmas, that place is amazing.  You are offered an empty Titanic-sized cup with which you are to fill with 12 different flavors of yogurt and about 30 different toppings, including candy, fruit, and cereal.  Today, I went for the mango-white chocolate macadamia nut-peanut butter-peach combo with cookie dough and Reese's Cups.  I know what you are thinking and NO, I am not pregnant...but they practically force you to try a million different flavors and I couldn't wimp out on my first time.  Go hard or go home, right?!?  I purchase $4.22 of sweet, sultry, velvety nectar and consumed it Conehead-style (in approx .45 seconds).

Numnums, for serious!  If you are unable to locate me this summer, check Swirll.  My head will be placed underneath the mango yogurt dispenser, mouth ajar.
